So far I have five stories written by Filipinas that tell of the circumstances of their employment in Hong Kong as domestic helpers. They each mention their family situations in the Philippines, their adjustment to life in Hong Kong as household servants, and their involvement in church communities both at home and in Hong Kong.

 

I will be familiarizing myself with these stories before meeting these ladies. On December 3, 2006 I will visit the group of ladies who meet at the Church of All Nations (CAN) with Asha Sathyaraj.  I’ll talk to them about making the documentary and ask their permission to record their stories.
